serious CURRICULUM VITAE
Roberto Tibaldi
Born in Turin in 1959, Roberto Tibaldi has four great passions: alpine climbing, nature, classical music and photography.
After obtaining a High-School leaving certificate he worked for one year in a community caring for abandoned minors.
His love for nature was expressed professionally during the 13 years working at the Craveri Natural History Museum in Bra
[Museo Civico Craveri di Storia Naturale di Bra], where he was responsible in particular for teaching initiatives to schools.
For the museum he managed and created a catalogue of the scientific library and the photographic archives;
he collaborated to equipping and renewing exhibition rooms and collaborated in several temporary exhibitions.
Together with a teacher, he 'initiated' the project "Knowing and Defending Environment" for primary schools,
a project that is still being used and existing today. For this purpose he realized two audio-visual works
"The natural environment in Roero" and "Rivers in the Bra area".
Being convinced that passions must be experienced directly,
he was member of the Corale Polifonica of Sommariva Bosco, in the capacity as first tenor,
where he sang in particular sacred pieces of music. He was for five years president
of the Bra Division of Club Alpino Italiano and is an Alpine Climbing Instructor.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Since 1993 he made his profession of his fourth passion. In Bra he manages his Studio Fotografico
Immaginare where new initiatives are proposed in addition to classic photography. He studied
Industrial Photography at the Studio Fotografico of Nando Mutarelli in Milan, learning large format
photographic techniques and lighting with studio flash equipment.
Particularly gifted for teaching, he realized 12 courses of photography for the public and one on
black and white photography. Pushed by his passion for nature, he organized three photographic-
naturalistic travels to sanctuaries and parks of Scotland, Macedonia and Tracia in Greece (published
by the magazine AIRONE) and in the parks of Kenya.
He was official photographer for the events "Salone del Gusto" in Turin and "Cheese" for the
international association of Slow Food.
He worked for a few years for the Tour operator "Il Tucano Viaggi Ricerca" headquartered in Turin, as
documentary photographer in Mali, South India (Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala), Rajasthan and
Ladakh. The pictures taken are used for catalogues, Internet site and for realizing multi-image
events.
Open to new digital techniques he does not exclude tradition, continuing to print black and white
pictures by hand in a dark room.
His pictures were published in the magazine Rivista della
Montagna, in books and naturalistic and mountain magazines. He participated
in national and International photographic contests, obtaining several successes.
With his most beautiful naturalistic images he organized the photographic exhibition
having the title of "Rainbow, the Colour of Nature", already represented in
several cities.
MULTI-IMAGE
In the last few years he has been actively devoting his time to multi-image
and is organizer of the annual review in Bra Incontro
con la Multivisione" (9 edizioni) as well as of the review Punti
di Vista in Monforte d'Alba (3 editions).
In 2002 he was commissioned by the largest National Park of France (Parc National
des Ecrins) to realize a large multi-image
event with 12 slide projectors for the 30th anniversary of the Park; the
work was projected throughout France and in 2003 he organized the didactic multi-image
work for children Un arbre qui parle
which could be seen in the 8 houses of the park.
In 2002 he won the first prize in the International contest "Gala de l'image
de montagne"in Saint Raphael (France) with the work
Ladakh, the country of high passes. In 2003 he received the second prize
at the Diapofestival di Misterbianco (CT) with the work Infinity.
In 2005 again two cross-border parks, the Natural Park
of Maritime Alps and the Parc National du Mercantour, commissioned the multi-image
work Parks without frontiers
with 12 slide projectors in order to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the foundation of the two parks.
With the jazz quartet of Marco Tardito, the Amarilli,
jazz performance was born, inspired by the madrigals of Claudio Monteverdi with
multi-image. The performance was proposed at the Piccolo Regio theatre in Turin,
at the Ponchielli Theatre in Cremona, at the international review "Fantadia",
in a Norman castle in the Basilicata Region.
Another interaction between live music and multi-image
is the experience with Turin arc quartet directed by Ezio Bosso: together with
another three multi-image authors a fascinating performance was realized in
Fantadia 2005. www.fantadia.it
The collaboration with the cultural association "L'atrio
dei Gentili" www.atriodeigentili.it
generates four shows on the subject of "Faith with art":
One more look, images, words
and music for telling of Christ's eyes in history.
Beauty will save the world, Il fregio
Beethoven by G. Klimt, with actors, the live four hands piano execution
of certain parts of Beethoven's ninth symphony, multi-image and theological
considerations by Stella Morra.

To his Image and resemblance, Marc
Chagall, painting of Flesh and wings, cultural performance on the bible
message of Marc Chagall with multi-image on 5 screens and architectural structures,
actors and dance.
Another successful collaboration with "Il Parallelo multivisioni di Padova"
enables the realization of great scenic designs on the architectural structures of buildings and castles. The following shows took place:
Comoedia, in una selva oscura, free interpretation of some characters of Dante's Inferno.
Art in Bra, performance born in order to enhance the artistic expressions of the town.
Aleramo, historical recollection of the medieval legend of the knight by the same name.
Multi-image can be very useful in museums, fairs, to
complete and supplement permanent exhibitions: An
ancient devotion, is born, a story told through images and music of the
500th Anniversary of the Diocese of Fossano inside the Diocesan Museum. The
truffle in the myth, from the Sumerians to Giacomo Morra, for Alba Truffle
Fair. Milk producing breeds becoming
extinct in Italy, commissioned by Slow Food for the event Cheese.
Carso, nature without borders,
for the didactic-naturalistic centre of Basovizza (Trieste).
On the occasion of particular events multi-image can
create the initial atmosphere: here are a few examples:
Millennium, facts, people, history,
music and art from the year 1000 to the year 2000, multi-image realized
on the occasion of the "passage" into the third millennium.
Piedmont Region commissions Mania,
Allergy, Obsession, Intolerance, a commercial for presenting to the press
the campaign on road safety.
We lack only the sea, but we have a sea of resources, commercial for
the presentation of a candidate to political elections.
The Convent of S. Giovanni di Saluzzo,

2008, tells about the emotions and adventures of a climber, who climbs the
Cho Oyu, and Everest.
Again for the Parc National des Ecrins he realized a DVD on a didactic project
for children: La famille croque et
l'arbre magique.
For the municipality of Misterbianco (Catania) he realized
in collaboration with "Il Parallelo Multivisioni di Padova"
Ccu vera fidi, multi-image of the
popular day festival of Saint Anthony the Abbot, the city's patron saint.
The "medaniene" museum system (Rome) commissioned the
multi-image A like acqua, A like Aniene,
for enhancing local history and culture.
In Savigliano (CN) he realized, again in collaboration
with Il Parallelo from Padua, A Thoroughbred
Lady, multi-image realized on the architectural structures of the main square
for the fair devoted to the bovine breed of Piedmont.
In 2009 finally a work for his territory: Roero,
a land born from the sea, where, in addition to multi-image, also a didactic
booklet is realized.
For the other realizations,
see the pages of this site.
He is currently Vice-President of AIDAMA (Associazione
Italiana degli Autori di Multivisione Artistica, www.aidama.it
within which he is holding multi-image courses..
